Laaerbergbad
Location number: 1100015
The Laaerbergbad, located in Vienna’s 10th district, is a spacious outdoor swimming pool dating from the late 1950s and situated on a slope of the Laaer Berg. The facility combines the functional architecture of postwar modernism with generous open spaces and a striking grove of trees, giving it an authentic, timeless character. The grounds feature a large wave pool, a multipurpose pool, diving facilities, and children’s and wading pools. Spacious sunbathing lawns, sports areas, and the terraced topography offer a variety of sightlines and different spatial settings—ranging from open panoramas to quieter areas framed by trees. The single-story changing rooms and functional buildings, with their clean, functional design language, along with the preserved artistic details from the time of the facility’s construction, lend the complex an unmistakable architectural character. The timeless and versatile design offers numerous possibilities for various narrative settings.
